The following cats and kittens are ready for their furever homes. Choosing the purr-fect pet can be a daunting task. There are so many factors to consider…age, colour, hair type, a single cat or a pair…..but we would recommend you put a huge emphasis on personality type. People often remark that they love their cats personality and how well it fits with them. We also recommend you consider the personality of your other pets (if you have any).
Our adoption prices are as follows:
Kittens ~ $225
Cats 1 to 8 years of age ~ $175

*** please note that all kittens adopted through HTCRS have been vet checked and have received their first (and often second set of shots), deworming, Revolution or Nexgaard Combo treatment, are microchipped and have been spayed or neutered***

All cats and kittens adopted through Happy Tails Cat Rescue are eligible to receive a coupon book from Pet Smart in Penticton with $300 worth of coupons to help you get your new pet equipped with food, toys, litter and other items.
We are also pleased to offer our SENIORS FOR SENIORS program. In this program, we pair our senior cats with senior humans looking for a companion. We are very excited about this program that will help spread the love and create companionship opportunities for humans and cats alike.
Darcel ~ 6 month old spayed female
Meet Darcel — the graceful little acrobat with a gentle heart! 🐾
Darcel may take a little time to warm up, but once she feels safe (especially with her furry buddies nearby), her sweet personality shines through. She happily welcomes head rubs and gentle back pets, and with a bit of patience and love, she just might blossom into a lap cat like her sister Priscilla.
She and her siblings are a lively bunch — always leaping, chasing, and turning playtime into a full-on acrobatic show! When she’s not midair or pouncing on a toy, you’ll find Darcel soaking up sunshine for a long, cozy nap. She loves Temptations treats, playing chase with her friends, and sleeping on the bed — usually keeping a polite little distance while still staying close.
Darcel is the perfect mix of playful spirit and quiet affection — a sweet companion who will reward your kindness with trust, charm, and love. 💕

Josie may be the shyest of her litter, but every day she’s discovering just how wonderful human affection can be. She’s learning that pats and gentle touches feel really good — and her growing curiosity for more love is absolutely heartwarming to watch.
Don’t let her shy side fool you — Josie is full of playful energy and joy! She adores her kitty friends and has a special fondness for the big resident dog — she’ll even run up to nuzzle her like they’re lifelong pals. 🐶💗

Brock ~ 6 month old neutered male
Meet Brock — the handsome heartthrob of the litter! 💙
Brock may be the only boy among his sisters, but he holds his own with charm and confidence. This six-month-old sweetheart is the perfect mix of playful energy and gentle affection — he plays hard, naps hard, and absolutely loves being part of the action.
Brock has recently discovered how nice human touch feels, and now he’s not shy about asking for it! He’ll meow or give you a little tap to remind you that it’s his turn for attention. He happily hops onto the bed for pets and cuddles, though he still prefers to sleep just within reach rather than right on your lap (for now!).
He’s incredibly social with his sisters — often found snuggling or grooming them — and he’s totally unbothered by the resident dog. 🐶
